February 28th is global Rare Disease Day. Coincidentally (and fittingly), it is also Henri’s birthday. Yesterday, on Rare Disease Day, more than 200 people gathered at Genzyme Center in Cambridge to mark the day and pay tribute to Henri’s legacy.
During the event, Henri’s family, friends, former colleagues, industry acquaintances and state and local leaders in Massachusetts helped officially launch the Henri A. Termeer Tribute Committee and unveiled plans for a permanent physical tribute to Henri to be built in newly renamed “Henri A. Termeer Square.”
